Our Weekend - Birthday Boys!

August 23, 2021

My two biggest boys had a great birthday weekend. I loved their birthdays being on Saturday and Sunday this year. We had a grandparent lunch on Saturday. We had chips and hot dogs because that is what Milam loves and Jonathan isn't picky.

Another celebration after church Sunday with more family.

Rewinding back to the Friday pick up line. These crazy boys waiting for sister.

This photo of mom life and all the things we use on the regular. Gotta keep them close by!

For their birthdays the boys wanted to ride BMX so that's what we did! Milam took first and Barrett took first place in his first balance bike race!

It was a late night for Barrett boy. Jonathan is driving and holding his hand.

Our last picture with Milam as a four year old.

I snagged another Sally Hansen Insta Dri. This one is Just in Wine. I needed to start inching my way into the fall vibe.

Sunday at church we had Milam's bible presentation. It's for the kinder kids.

HEB brought the samples back!

After swimming at my brother's house.

And, of course Sunday photos.

It was a good one! Happy Monday, everyone.

The Olympics 2021

July 28, 2021

We love a reason to celebrate. Celebrating the little things in life is one of my personal mantras. We were really bummed when the Olympics got postponed from 2020 and are 100% here for Team USA Gymnastics and BMX racing. (My heart breaks for all those parents not allowed to be there for the biggest moments of their kids lives. It is so sad.)

Georgia is my little gymnast and Milam is our BMX racer so we follow Simone Biles and Connor Fields.

Milam actually got to meet gold medalist, Connor Fields at one of his BMX races. He signed a poster to wish him luck. He may not get how big of a deal this is now but I know it will be a memory he cherishes for a long time!

I decorated and we had a little dessert celebration waiting for the opening ceremonies.

Get it Simone and Connor! We're rooting for you!

S U M M E R - Finally

June 2, 2021

Here is what we have been up to since school has been out...

We had a super great long Memorial Day weekend. Jonathan took a half day on Thursday and then had off Monday so it was great and so relaxing.  We had two couple friends over that we've known since college. Six parents and nine kids. It was a lot of fun.

We found a creek and spent some time playing...

and ended the day at the bike park. We had a really long nap time in between.

Lots of walks.

Lots of snuggling.

I can't remember the last time I went to a garage sale. Our neighbor was having one and on the way out of the neighborhood I spotted some chairs that I had to have. One for G's room and two for the breakfast room. Total scores.

Georgia has been living her best life. She spent the night with a friend on Wednesday night after we let her swim at their house all day, skip gym, and both families went out to dinner. Then spent the night with another friend on Thursday night. And yet a different friend on Friday night who also took her to her first Astros game.

Here's to a nice and short week!
