Easter 2020 is one for the books I suppose. I'll be honest. We had church service on in the background but we weren't really tuned in. Jonathan cooked the day of and we put on "church clothes" and ate. We also delivered lunch to my mom, grandmother, J's grandmother, and our neighbor. I had read that the weather would be gross so we wore our Easter clothes and did our egg hunt the day before.
My mom has been deep cleaning her garage (the things my step dad accumulates y'all) and finding all kinds of treasures. So, the rest of our Easter was spent enjoying the beautiful day outside and teaching our two bigs how to use a bow and arrow...all found in my mom's garage. It was a gorgeous day. I played worship music outside and just laid on the blanket with Barrett and watched everyone else. It was a perfect day.
As I said, we did our egg hung the day before. I hid the eggs in my mom's front yard and my (almost 96 year old) grandmother was able to watch the kids hunt.
That morning we got dressed up for Easter pictures.
The Easter bunny did come to our house but two amazon orders were delayed or cancelled. Carter's is delayed as is Old Navy. As in, still hasn't even shipped two weeks later. It was a little more sparse than normal but I suppose all their stuff will come in eventually. And...it isn't about stuff to begin with so it's fine.
I spent the day feeling very blessed for this little family of mine.
