My Kids
Everyone thinks their kids are the cutest. I know this. But oh my goodness. And, these aren't even good pictures of them. I don't care. And, I never get Georgia's picture anymore...my main job is bothering her. (I think I've officially hit the "tween" stage with her"
Home Reno
The home reno bug has bitten me again (happened the beginning of quarantine as well) and I'm slowly making a dent in a few small projects. I bought THIS paint last weekend and painted one chair so far. There are 5 of us and 6 chairs so I'm doing one at a time so we can still eat at our table...super slow going though. I do think I'm going to have to get THIS clear coat though to make them more durable but I LOVE this paint so far. I also mentioned how I bought THESE fly catching bags and OH MY GOODNESS...they are AMAZING and I am obsessed and will be buying more. You can leave them up for 30 days. It's so gross but so exciting! We also are adding a banquette in the breakfast room. A three sided one. It's going to be a magnificent beast and I can't wait. And we ordered a sectional. We're going to have SO MUCH seating.
Art
I've been inspired to use things that I love as art in our home. I dug around in my kitchen and found my grandmother's hand written recipe cards. I framed two of them with THESE frames along with an envelope addressed to my grandmother by her mother. They are perfectly aged and look so fantastic in our kitchen are may be one of my most popular post on InstaStories.
Puzzles
My kids started to get into puzzles this week. I am not a puzzle person myself so I rarely get any out but I do keep a large stash of them in my "Hurricane kit" and if they keep the kids occupied...bring on the puzzles. We have THIS US puzzle G has been working on and I really like that all the pieces are shaped like the states. We also have THIS one and several of THIS brand. I really see me busting them out more often because it kept both older kids calm and occupied for awhile. Kind of like LEGOs do.
