Teacher Appreciation Week

I LOVE teacher appreciation week.  I appreciate educators every day and I love having an entire week dedicated to them.  Our school has a theme everyday of what to bring your teacher and I like to amp it up just a little.  Like, "Bring your teacher a flower".  I bring our teacher a pot plant.  That way the flowers don't die in a few days.  It's a super fun week!

He's so funny and he makes every day unpredictable and exhausting.  He's for sure a favorite of mine this week and EVERY week!

Surprise week with THIS GUY

Our week got super crazy when Jonathan's school got hit with a ridiculous amount of rain (Tuesday) and ended up flooding.  The buses couldn't run and 1800 kids were stranded at Jonathan's school waiting on their parents.  If the buses couldn't run you can imagine how long it took parents to pick up that many kids.  Jonathan got home at 2 am.  He waded through water all day to make sure all his kids got home.  Since his school was flooded and needed to be rid of raw sewage he was home with us!  We were all very excited about it.

She posted this on FB about Jonathan and one of his employees screen shot it and texted it to me.  Of course I love and appreciate Jonathan and know that he's the most amazing guy on the planet but it's always nice to hear it from someone else since we were worried sick about him all day.

Home Videos

In addition to saving all my blogs I've been making monthly home videos.  I save them to my external hard drive but also load them on my YouTube Channel which is rarely used for anything other than home videos.  If you ever want to delve into the Powell world you can go watch them here! They are SUPER boring! Don't say I didn't warn you! (I have travel videos and birthday interviews posted there as well
