Finally September

September 8, 2015

It's finally September and we are in full swing of loving our routine.  Dance, Bible study, friends, home school.  We are really getting back into the groove.

{Monday - MOPS, Tuesday - Dance, Wednesday - BSF and church, Thursday - Small Group, Friday - maybe gymnastics}

We stay super busy over here.

First of all, lots of Georgia pictures.

We got Blue Bell back!  Ice cream heaven!

I'm newly obsessed with knee socks.  They are the cutest.

We got a new snake killer kitten.  No indoor cats for us but welcome to the family, Posey.

Friends in boots...

I tried Nature Box (like it) and bought a new swing.  G picked ours out so yes, it's rainbow.  The other one was for a friend.

I swear Georgia isn't a giant.  She is sitting slightly in front of her sweet ballet friends.

My besties from college came in for the weekend.  It was lovely.

Like mother like daughter :)

That's all for now.  Happy Tuesday.  I'll have some posts coming soon about home school this year and a new cooking adventure Jonathan and I are taking :)  Stay tuned!

A Whirlwind

April 3, 2012

All I ever seem to have the time for are these huge blogger photo dump posts.  Sorry about that.  I wasn't home all weekend.  Jonathan was hunting and I was at my mom's with Georgia so I'm even more behind with blogging, house work, and school work.

So, it's been a bit crazy around here lately but let's start with something good.  I never posted about the cute boots my mom got me.  Love them.

Moving onto the bad.  I got the worst hair cut ever.  Ugh, I can't even stand to look at this picture!  So much for subtle, long layers.

The good.  I was able to get it fixed somewhat.  You should have seem the lady's faces while she was cutting.  (I went to a different place)  They said I would have to come back in about a month and they could keep fixing it little by little.  Georgia was pretty excited that I was starting to look better.  You can't really tell in the second picture but she thinned it out A LOT and it does look much better but still totally sucks.  I just don't want to get it all chopped off!

The bad.  We've been seeing a lot of this at our house.  It's starting to get to me : /  I NEED those molars to pop on through!  Actually, this is what she looked like a good portion of Saturday when I was with my mom.  She didn't have a good weekend...at. all.

so...we let her have ice cream :)

The good.  She's totally adorable.

The bad.  Project: Get the House Sold isn't going so well.  J and I put a large chunk of money down on our home.  With the market the way it is we stand a good chance of not getting that money back and that really isn't an option.  We have a bottom line and if it doesn't get met then we're not selling.  I AM NOT happy about all of this.  Ugh...I want to move so bad.  We live SO FAR away from everyone and I can't stand it!  We meet with our new realtor on Friday...first one didn't work out.

The good.  Spring time.  Playing in puddles and farm fresh eggs from co workers!

The bad.  Perry is a VERY bad traveler.  He pants and shakes in the car and then stays nervous the entire trip.  Drive me crazy.

The good.  Georgia looks good in Nike.

The bad.  She knows how to get around my road blocks.  I put her activity table in front of the magazines so she couldn't get to them.  She just crawled under it.  Mom fail.

The good.  Texas bluebonnet pictures are so cute!

Whew...that was a long post!

Spring Update

March 27, 2012

First, here are some more pictures to add to my spring photo check list.  I posted more HERE and HERE.

Second, let's talk about spring cleaning!

I make my own cleaning supplies (a lot but not all) because I don't want to use a lot of harsh chemicals in my home.  Although, none of them are baby safe but they are safer than what is sold at the store.  We've been using a lot of these for nearly 3 years now.  (I do use Mrs. Meyers sometimes too.)

All purpose cleaner:
1 teaspoon borax
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/4 teaspoon liquid dish soap
1 cup hot water

Granite cleaner:
(found HERE)
1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
3 drops of dish detergent
1 cup water

-This has been my favorite so far.  It keeps the granite super shiny.  Smudge and film free.  Love it.-

Stainless cleaner:
white vinegar

"Windex":
(Also from my mom)
2 cups water
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon liquid detergent

New Around Here

October 21, 2011

Head bands:  Crocheted head bands from my MIL.  I think she bought them for like 3 for a 1$.  I love them for the fall/winter since she can't wear a scarf.  I made the flower with felt.

31 Products:  Have you heard of them?  I really like mine!

Leggings:  Added the ruffles to the long ones and made the shorter ones from socks.

Fall weather:  Jacket time!

Grabbing:  Object of interest?  Perry!

Halloween front porch:  LOVE the wreath(s?) I made!  Well, I bought the wreath froms at Hobby Lobby, tied them together, and added the letters.  Pretty simple.  Surprisingly, I thought of this on my own...NOT a Pinterest find.  Who would have thought...
