Barrett - Three Weeks

November 16, 2019

Inching our way closer to a month.  Every day (fingers crossed) we get a little closer to more sleep and more predictability.

You like to eat every 2 hours mainly during the day.  You're only awake about an hour and then go back to sleep (usually fighting it so hard) You take about 5 naps a day.  Four pretty terrible ones at about 45 minutes each and then one long one that is typically 3 hours long.  At night you can do up to 8.5 hours BUT you only did that once.  (you've also done in the 6-7 hour range before...it was really nice while it lasted)  You were doing 5 hours and then 4 hours for a while (also nice) but the past two nights you've done 3 hours and then up every 1.5 hours.  Super annoying when you've done better before.  You fight sleep really hard a lot of the time so that's super fun.  I would say a normal night is 4 hours, eat, 3 hours, eat, then who knows after that.  I'm trying to transition you out of the rock n play and into the dock a tot.  I've been doing your first two naps in the dock a tot and everything else in the rock n play.
Your siblings really love you and always want to be holding you or talking to you.  You've started to make a few little coo sounds.  You've only done it a handful of times but it's pretty cute when it happens.  You're content for the most part but nothing wakes you up more than getting swaddled, turning down the lights, and hearing your sound machine.  Super annoying.

You pass more gas then any baby I've ever known.  It doesn't seem to bother you though.  And it smells and it's loud.  You also get the hiccups about 10 times a day.
We're just surviving over here.  The older two kids feel super left out and ignored and me and Jonathan are exhausted.  Hoping for normalcy to come back sometime soon.
