Favorite Bible Verse

2 Chronicles 18:4
first seek the counsel of the Lord

This has been my favorite verse for several years.  I love it because no matter what it always applies.  This verse runs through my head all through out my day and is something to easily live by.

On the same note...I have a favorite quote by Martin Luther (think protestant reformation).  This quote is often in my head through out the day as well.

"my conscience is captive to the word of God"

I'm a fan of Colossians 3:11:

Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

(That's the NIV translation anyway :-)).

Thats a great scripture..its so important to first seek God no matter what the situation or circumstance life may bring. :-)

That is a wonderful scripture and one I need to remember more often, so often I find myself and seeking advice from so many different people that it makes the situation worse - I just need to remember to go to God and He will take care of everything :) Thanks for the reminder!

P.S. I left you an award on my blog :)

I came across this verse again recently in one of my quiet times....what an amazing verse. Love the Martin Luther quote too! What important reminders.
