Babymoon!

February 17, 2011

We officially decided on what we want to do for our Babymoon!
{Prepare to be UNDER whelmed!}

1.  The only time we can go on a vacation is Spring Break since we're both teachers.
2.  I'll be in my third trimester so I can't fly.
3.  I'll be in my third trimester so spending hours in the car sounds like torture...it already is.
4.  The plans with my friends to go to Florida fell through.
5.  Jonathan and I were slackers when it came to planning this Babymoon.
6.  We tried to find a fun place in TX to go that wouldn't be too far of a drive but had no luck.
7.  This summer we're going on a beach vacation with our family and next summer we're going to London/Paris (most likely) so we're ok with our Babymoon being a...

BABYMOON STAYCATION!!!

Sound boring, maybe, but to me it actually sounds WONDERFUL!  I suggested it to Jonathan and he looked at me so relieved and said yes.  Neither one of us had the energy to really travel and March is going to be a SUPER busy month for us (hospital classes, preregistering, maternity pictures, baby shower, 3d ultrasound) and I just couldn't imagine us squeezing it in and it still feeling relaxing in any way.

But, we're not just doing any "staycation".  Ours has stipulations.
1.  It cannot be baby related.
2.  It will be a total of 4 days.
3.  Jonathan will plan 2 of the days and I will plan 2 of the days.
4.  We have to actually DO something out of the house.

I'm really looking forward to our relaxing STAYcation over spring break!

I think that sounds amazing!! And you'll save a ton of money. Also, London and Paris next year means you might be in London during the Olympics, which sounds amazing!

That sounds like a great idea. You can do all the fun things around town that you will be too busy to do when the sweet baby girl comes. Also, I have a question. When you click on the pictures to the right of your layout, it goes to a page. How did you do that?

Thanks, and I can't wait to see ya at the baby shower!

Aww sounds like fun! We might actually end up doing the same thing, as Josiah will still have lots of work to do for school! Take advantage of what's in front of you! :) Excited to see what you'll end up planning.

And we're planning on London in summer 2012 too! Planning on going to the Olympics as our we-survived-law-school trip! SO fun! :)

Your babymoon staycation sounds like so much fun! We have weekends where we like to be tourists in our hometowns, and it's so much fun to do the things you wouldn't normally do! Enjoy!

That's what Will and I did and it was perfect for us! We slept in, went on random day-dates and just enjoyed each other. Soak in the last moments you have together!

You usually need a vacation to recover from a vacation! I think a staycation is perfect!

I need one of those and I'm not even pregnant! Lol.

I had 3 babies in 3 years and 3 months time (all before my 5th wedding anniversary). Life totally changes. It's totally wonderful, but totally different. Enjoy your staycation. Sounds pretty much perfect. :)
