I went to
BAYLOR UNIVERSITY
from 2004-2008
Here are a few Baylor fun facts:
- Baylor is the oldest university in the state of Texas. {1845}
- We're home to the largest collegiate homecoming in the U.S.
- "Angela" from The Office went to Baylor...as did Willie Nelson
- All members of the David Crowder Band graduated from Baylor
- "Where the Heart is" with Natalie Portman was filmed on the Baylor campus
Moving on...
Here is what I love about Baylor!
It's a Christian University.
It's a beautiful campus.
My LOVELY friends.
Our annual Christmas card photo shoot!
Our Graduation photo shoot!
Our Mascot.
Fun Traditions:
All University SING
(think mini broadway)
Dia Del Oso
(a day off of class to play outside. Means day of the bear.)
I LOVE YOU BAYLOR!!!
Let me just add...Baylor was one of the best decisions I made. It was the first time I got to pretend to be an adult and I learned A LOT because of it. I met my BEST FRIENDS there and I'm sure it was destiny. Someone left me a comment and said Baylor is magical and it's true (not just because of the free dr. pepper floats once a week) but it's all the swings hanging from all the beautiful trees on campus, the beautiful bells that ring every 15 minutes, the fact that it's a walking campus...you can't drive through it, the wonderful old buildings and all of the history. It's hard to put into words how Baylor "feels" to me. Just LOVE it!

Another face about Baylor: It is just as magical as Narnia, or Hogwarts...
and you get a free Dr. Pepper floar every Tuesday :)
Love learning all the random facts about Baylor. My sister in law went to school there but I really didn't know much about it!
Ooh, how fun. I love that it is so old & probably has wonderful history.

Oh, I am having a giveaway if you like those!
It sounds so wonderful. Some of my best years were spent in college. So many wonderful things and friendships happen there :-) I miss it quite often.
I'm a Baylor Girl too! :-) Sic'em!
What awesome memories! I am learning about so many schools!

I found your blog via Kelly's Korner today. I didn't go to Baylor but it still has a special place in my heart. My brother went there and fell in love with the school so much that he now works for them! I love going to Texas to visit him and I love walking around that campus - so beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Sic 'em, Bears!
Sic 'em! (from a Class of 2000 alum)

Sic 'em! Class of 2005
One of my best buds went to Baylor. I don't know how big it is but her name was Katie White...now Katie Tucker. She LOOOOVED Baylor. Did you ever go to David Crowder's church?
how fun! Seems like an amazing campus! :)
Well, I'm a Samford girl, but my parents met at Baylor and graduated from there. My brother went there, too. I remember visiting the campus as a little girl and I loved the real bears!
Had I not gone to Samford, Baylor was my 2nd choice (I guess I didn't want to go tooooo far from home. :)
Another BU grad here (though I am quite a bit older!:)). Baylor is a truly special place. I just went to Sing last night - it feels like I never left. Love it there!
I like you. ;) Read a bunch on your blog. You'll see all my comments.
I'm now following!
P.S. I have 3 children. My first two are both May babies. :) My 1st son is the 28th, my daughter is May 5th. (Yes, Cinco de Mayo. :)
I also LOVE Baylor! I grew up in
Austin & my mother wouldn't let me go to UT~!! She said it was too big of a "party" school so I went to The University Of Mary-Hardin Baylor and am kin to Mary Hardin! It's also a sister school to Baylor (little sister) and is in Belton, TX, just an hour N. of Austin and a Christian University and my mother was SO RIGHT in sending me there!! It was one of the best places I EVER could have gone to!! For me Baylor University was just too far from home-I was a very spoiled child and didn't want to get too far away from my friends who ALL went to UT~!! I wanted to come home EVERY wk-end which was such a short drive instead of the 2 hr. drive from Waco so I decided I would NOT go to Baylor but did love MH-Baylor so much. Their campus was also neat but nothing compared to Baylor! Baylor DOES have one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL campuses in Texas, I'm sure of that!
I did love it at MH-Baylor, though, and have been on the GORGEOUS campus of Baylor University MANY, MANY times as I had a lot of friends who had siblings that went there instead of choosing the smaller version of Baylor just as I did! I'll NEVER REGRET going to MH-Baylor, though but I DO love Baylor so much, too! Great post! Of course growing up in Austin, MY BLOOD will ALWAYS run ORAANGE-and I still love UT-Austin even more than where I graduated from! If my mother would have let me, I definitely would have chosen UT~!! It's in my blood, I tell ya-I do love those Longhorns!! :) And that's where my hubby graduated from and I did go there to get my double master's degree and now I'm working on my PhD and should be ALL THROUGH with school and FINALLY have all my degrees! I'm just finishing up with Physics and that's what I'm getting my PhD in and hope to teach Physics eventually at UT~!! (yeah, good luck to me on that-b/c I'm sure LOTS want the same thing!) but I am in no rush b/c we now have a precious "almost" 2 yr old daughter that the sun rises and sets with each & every day and brings the sunshine into our lives daily no matter WHAT the weather outside!!
Loved your post! But as you can see, I have a love, actually for three wonderful Universities but of course I love UT more than allllllllllll the rest! But Baylor IS a gorgeous campus-you are SO RIGHT about that but I ALSO just LOVE the UT campus which is also just GORGEOUS, too!! It is to die for, for sure!! (well so to speak)...lol
Hook 'em Horns!!
I found you through SUYL. First of all, your blog is so cute! I am your newest follower! Secondly, I have to admit, I am an Arkansas girl, but I just spent the last couple of years in Waco because my husband worked in Baylor athletics. I must say, I was so impressed by the pride that BU grads have in their school. I think it is so wonderful that you have such wonderful, heart-warming memories of Baylor! I will say, I loved a lot about Baylor and my time in Waco...Sing, Christmas at Baylor, Dr. Pepper floats, Crowder, the mascots on campus, Pat Neff...It is a wonderful place!
