Adventures at the Dr.'s Office

Dermatologist:
I had to go in and get a mole removed.  Simple enough right?  I wasn't nervous, anxious, or scared.  I was a bit excited because I wanted it gone.  They numb it, take it off, and we're done in about 3 minutes.  Didn't hurt a bit.  I felt a little light headed so I laid back and drank some water.  When I felt better I left the room, walked down the hall way, gave the lady my debit card, and...hit the floor.  Yes, I passed out and scuffed up my shin and knee in the process.  Embarrassed much?  This is why I'm 25, married, and have a baby yet my mom has to take me to the dr.  I've now passed out on vacation, in class at college, at work, while getting a glucose test done (pre pregnancy to figure out WHY I pass out so much), the allergist, and at the dermatologist twice.  It's pretty ridiculous.

Pediatric Cardiologist:
Georgia had to go the the cardiologist to get her heart murmur checked out.  She had it when she was born (very common in newborns) but by the time she left the hospital they didn't hear it anymore.  They didn't hear it at her 1 month appointment either but they did when she hit 2 months.  Anyways, all it turned out to be is the veins that run from her heart to her lungs are a bit too small since they aren't used very much in the womb (because babies don't breath until they're born.)  The murmur noise the doctor hears is actually the blood going through the veins that are just a bit too small.  The doctor said this is very common, they will eventually get larger, that she doesn't actually have a "murmur", and he doesn't ever have to see her again.  YAY!  G's heart is perfectly healthy.  SUCH a relief!

Here she is getting her EKG and echo.  She was perfect the entire time.  She was smiling and laughing at all the nurses and drooled/chewed on the guy's finger who was doing the echo the entire time.  He thought it was funny.  She was also very interested in watching her heart on the screen.  The girl loves her TV time...haha :)

What a sweet girl! Glad everything is ok! I totally feel you on the passing out thing. The most embarrassing thing was when I passed out in the middle of the mall. Literally everyone was looking at me. Needless to say, when I "came to" I made the people I was with leave immediately! LOL.

YAY for G... BOO for you!! Maybe it is low blood sugar? Griffin has hypoglycemia and passes out on occasion.

So glad to hear that sweet Georgia is healthy! That's is scary that you pass out like that. I've only done that once and it was the weirdest feeling in the world.

So glad her little heart is perfectly healthy! I had a heart murmur when I was born and it went away naturally just as you explained!

Passing out is so scary...I gave blood once my Senior year of high school...passed out twice right there after it and will never give blood again because of it. No fun at all!
