Really, Emily?

September 21, 2011

I'm at home today because I was sick yesterday.  My MIL still came over to watch Georgia today as if I was going to work so she could help me out and I wouldn't run the risk of getting Georgia sick.

Anyways, I was trying to take a nap earlier in the day and my feet were cold so I shoved them inside a pillow case.  The pillow was under the covers at the foot of the bed because I still sleep pregnancy style sometimes with a pillow between my legs but I guess at some point last night I didn't want the pillow and kicked it away.

Moving on...

So, I'm trying to nap with my feet inside the pillow case but they are still freezing and I think to myself, "Wouldn't it be nice if we had mittens for our feet?!"  Then, about 1.5 seconds later I realize..."oh wait, I guess those would be socks"

I'm

an

idiot

lol. Glad I'm not the only one! How long do you think we can keep using the "I just had a baby" excuse?

Hey Emily! I started following your blog yesterday, but just realized today that you're a Baylor grad. So cool! I graduated from BU in 2010. Hope you're feeling better!

lol, it happens to the best of us! I hope you feel better soon!

To answer your question about de swaddling...it went well! We had about 3 or 4 nights straight where she would take an hour or two to fall asleep, and then she would wake up around 2,3,4,5, and 6, but then he sleep chunks got longer and longer. We also dropped the middle of the night feed during that time, which I should have dropped alot earlier, so that might have made it harder.

Now, 3 weeks later, and she's doing great. We've had 2 nights of 12 hours straight of her in her bed without waking! I think tonight might be night #3!

Thank you so much for the sweet comment on my blog last week. I love your blog! I love reading about baby stuff. Some may say I have baby fever... Maybe, maybe not. :)

But your post today, I do stuff like that all the time! The other day I stood in the elevator in my office on the 3rd floor trying to go down to the ground floor to go home for the day and i kept pushing the button and it wasn't working!! Well, the idiot that I am, was pushing the 3 button not 1. I was already on 3 so of course I wasn't going to go anywhere. Duh! :)

I do things like that too. Once I told my mom they should make giftcards that you can use everywhere....and she said "you mean like money?"
