TX Trip Round Two

August 8, 2013

Thursday
Headed out with my brother and his family to go "camping" in his RV in the New Braunfels area.  Thursday was just travel and setting up.  Georgia did really well on the trip...sleeping in the RV that first night...now that was a rough night.  Oh.  Lord.

Friday
Jonathan forgot to turn the alarm off on his phone so the three of us were all up for the day at 6:30.  Ugh, and after a long night too.  To say I was a bit grumpy is an understatment.  I don't have a lot of pictures because a lot of the trip involved water and I didn't want to ruin my camera or phone.

We spent the day at Schlitterbahn.  Georgia went down a few rides with us and could have done more if they would have let me hold the handle on her tube.  Most of the rides don't have height requirements but heck if I'm sending my two year old down a dark LONG tube (with twists and turns) by herself.  Not happening.  She did get to take a 45 minute nap laying on Jonathan's chest while the rest of us rode a SUPER long ride.  So that was a win win.  Then, Jonathan lost our car keys but luckily someone turned them into lost and found.  It was hot, towards the end we lost our sun screen, Georgia pulled my swim suit top down, she tried to bite me, and I was so tired.  I'll just put it nicely and say it was a long, long day and G was asleep at 9 this night thanks to her pack n play tent that I didn't put on, on Thursday night.

Our sleeping arrangements.  Zipped her in there!  We called it her Sofia tent (as in the princess) and she was ALL about it.  It's pink with lace.  Crib tents are magical :)

We're through the glass doors with the curtains in the left picture.

Saturday
Since we're still working on potty training G doesn't do the best with not being at home to go poop.  So, at 7 AM she woke up with terrible diaper rash and a really bad diaper.  Yuck.  After breakfast we headed to float the Comal.  The same river we floated 2 weeks prior on our anniversary trip.  This day was way better than the other two.  Georgia LOVED floating the river.  Her tube was tied to Jonathan's and mine and all three of our tubes had bottoms.  She just sat in the tube and splashed like it was her own mini pool.  So cute.   She also like to jump out of her tube and splash in the river (it moves VERY slow).  After that we ate at Rudy's, stopped by the outlets to check Potterybarn and Lululemon and were back home to Conroe in no time.

I have to say, my brother and I have some pretty cute kids!  And yes, my brother's dog floated the river too...she swims in a pink life jacket.

What's not to love about that sweet face?!

It sounds like an awesome trip! I haven't been to Schlitterbahn in at least 10 years but I used to love that place! I love the crib tent on the pack n play! I so could have used one of those when we were in Texas earlier this summer. Emerson kept crawling out of the pack n play and it was a disaster!!

Haha, I laughed at the "Sofia tent." I would have done the same thing!

Looks like fun! Quick question since you live in the hot Texas heat and I 'assume' you have bugs there like crazy..what kind of products do you use on G? Makayla has just gotten bug bitten so badly this summer!!
