About Me Randoms

October 7, 2013

1.  In the house we currently live in I HAVE to take showers.  G sleeps in the master closet next to the only bath tub in the house so I am forced to use the hall bath shower.  I hate showers.  It's now my least favorite part of my day whereas my bubble baths...I looked forward to those all day.  (Get the details on our living situation HERE)

2.  I'm a chronic nail picker.  I usually don't even paint them.  Just my toe nails.

3.  I always feel so comforted by the fact that I've been with Jonathan since high school.  October 25th will mark our 13th year together.  We actually met when we were 12 so we've known each other over half our life.  And, once we have our 14th "anniversary" we'll have been "together" half our life.

4.  I love eating cereal as a late night snack.

5.  My favorite cereal is Strawberry Yogurt O's (I think that's what they are called) from Trader Joe's.

6.  I try to run at least 3 times a week.

7.  I'm not a good runner and I don't like it but it's the fastest full body workout I can get.

8.  I gave birth to a blonde haired, blued eyed child.  I have bownish eyes and brown hair and Jonathan has brown eyes and red hair...hmmmmmm.  Don't you just love genetics.  I have brown eyes and neither one of my parents do.  Same thing I guess...

9.  I love the words lovely and fancy.

10.  I love schedules.  And planners.  And consistency.  I like routine but I do get bored with it at times.

11.  Jonathan and I go crazy for yogurt in the hot months and then in the cold months we switch over to starbucks.  Georgia loves both as well :)

12.  I drink hot tea when it's cold outside.  Or hot chocolate.  I am NOT a coffee drinker.

13.  The only caffeine I consume is in chocolate, tea, and the occasional headache pill.

14.  If I were ever to have another little girl I love the name Magnolia Jane as a first name.  Too much?  Too country?  I still like it!  Especially with the nickname Nola Jane.  So cute.

15.  I just adore candy.  Can't hardly get enough.  And, it's the sugary kind.  Sweet Tarts, Sprees, Sour Punch Straws, Nerds....ahh, so good!

16.  Being a blogger mom who doesn't do "attachment parenting" is kind of hard.  I feel like that is becoming the blogger "norm" which is fine but if I write about how I feel about raising Georgia I come off as rude which isn't me at all.

17.  I am opinionated.  But not rude.

18.  I think we've decided on only two kids.  For so many reasons.  Financially - possible private school, cars in high school, college tuition, already one wedding to pay for, and the sky rocketing cost of insurance.  Out of the baby phase - Georgia is SOOO easy and I'm pretty sure I can get back into the newborn swing one more time but I'm not sure I want to do it again after that.  It's so easy to get out of the house and go anywhere or travel or go out to eat.  I always said I wanted 3 and J wanted 2 but I think I'm going over to his side.

19.  I get easily overwhelmed.  So, so easily.

20.  This is the my last post for a month or two.  I texted Jonathan that social media can be too much sometimes on Friday and he texted back that I should just take a break from it all.  SO, I did.  I am.  No Facebook, Instagram, or Blogger.  So to all the new followers  I've gotten lately.  Stay around.  I'll be back before too long!  Enjoy your fall everyone!

I always thought I wanted 3 or 4 kids, but I'm starting to think we are done. For many of the same reasons and I also just have that "complete" feeling.

Love that pic of G! We will you around here but I think taking a break is always good. Keeping up with blogging is hard so I know how you feel. Oh and the newborn stage is so hard!!

I loved reading all these random facts about you. I think we are done with two kiddos too. I thought I wanted three but throughout this pregnancy I've felt pretty settled that two is a good number for us. Enjoy your break! i will definitely miss you and your pictures of sweet Georgia!

Enjoy your break.

I get you on the AP thing. C has slept in his bed since the third night (I think) we were home and sometimes reading blogs, etc. makes me feel like a cold, heartless mom. But now that he's older and will just play in bed when he wakes up makes it so worth it.

We are starting to wonder if 2 is our magic number as well. We always wanted more, but pregnancy is just way too hard on me and we feel REALLY content with two for now at least. We are going to reevaluate in a few years and see where we're at, but I can definitely understand all of the reasons you listed!
Enjoy your break! I just took a short one and it was so nice to unplug and disconnect from social media for awhile-it can be overwhelming!
