A Long Valentine's Weekend

February 17, 2015

Georgia and I hosted a tea party for some of her church friends.  We had a great morning.  I will post more details on this later.  Hopefully it will be an annual thing.

Georgia and I woke up to a little family celebration.  Jonathan made us chocolate chip pancakes and bought us flowers.  He's so sweet.

Later that day we went to a nice Italian dinner just the two of us.  It was so nice to have some time to ourselves!

When we got home we watched two movies in bed.  Nice and relaxing.

Typical day.  We went to church and Subway with family.  Then we came home, relaxed, ran errands, and Jonathan worked on our one acre farm.  He planted his potatoes and watered them and the onions.  He still needs to put the fence around the garden.  He also built a bench to go next to the chicken coop, and still hasn't finished the coop but he's getting there.

We ended the day in bed watching TV and working on lesson plans.  I love that Pearl is jumping from Jonathan watering the plants.

Jonathan really wanted to do school with Georgia, because he had Monday off, and we don't normally do school on Mondays but we went with it and they both enjoyed it.  We were really looking forward to spending some time outside.  Too bad it was cold and rainy.  So, I just cleaned and did laundry instead.

Hope y'all were able to have a lovely long weekend as well.

Long weekends are the best! Love that Jonathan did school with Georgia on his day off :) I bet she loved that.
