Be Mine ♥

February 15, 2011

Here is how we celebrated Valentine's Day at our house.

We usually celebrate by going to the new opening at the art museum BUT they are in between shows right now.  A new one opens next weekend but we'll be helping with D Now at our church so we can't go :(  We'll have to save it for another time.

The gifts:
We told each other exactly what we wanted.  Jonathan wanted a Swiss Army knife and I wanted a Victoria's Secret sleep shirt (in pink) to wear in the hospital when G's born.  (I already have a pink plaid one as well...I hate sleeping in pants!).

The cards:
Jonathan got me a card designed by Taylor Swift...fitting.

I made Jonathan a card from Walgreens.  He loved it!

Georgia:
My grandmother sent Georgia her first official card and her first 2 dollars.  Lucky girl.

Jonathan gave Georgia a super cute card and a Glee Cd.  In her card he wrote that she couldn't play with anything yet but she could hear and her mom loves Glee so he assumed she would too.  Very cute.

The Date:
Jonathan cooked dinner.
Steak and homemade broccoli mac and cheese!

I made dessert.
HERE is the recipe I used.  He was SO excited when he came home and saw my pregnant self baking!

The Surprise:
When I woke up Monday morning I walked into the kitchen and Jonathan had written and hidden several "I Love Yous" around the house.  The first one was on the bar attached to a sweet note.  Then, I found one in my planner, in my shoe, in my car, in the pantry, in the office, wrapped around my classroom key, in my lunch box, on the laptop, in my box of oatmeal, and in my purse.
How cute is he???

♥♥♥

I just LOVE Valentine's day!

That sleep shirt looks so comfy I hate sleeping in pants too!
One thing to maybe think about (and maybe you already have) if you are going to be nursing (not sure if you are or not) is nursing accessibility in the middle of the night. :) I took stuff to the hospital and didn't even think that one all the way through. Just thought I would share.
