Georgia,
Today, at exactly 1:53 in the afternoon you are a whole, entire, YEAR old! Oh little miss, this month you have FOR SURE come into your own more than ever before.
Eat:
You eat three meals a day and are still taking about 5 5oz bottles/sippy cups a day. You get a bottle before your nap and at bedtime but the other times you take a sippy cup. We have had you on half milk half formula this entire month and I'm pretty sure I could switch you to all milk but 1) we have formula so I don't want to waste it and 2) your dr. appointment is tomorrow and they'll check again to see if you're still anemic. If you are then I still like you getting the extra iron from the formula. (Sometimes though I do give you just milk for your after dinner sippy cup and you like it just fine.)
Sleep:
Oh girl, this month has been rough. Some people will want to slap me for saying this is bad but for us and your normal habits it is. Your usual nap has been 3 hours for the longest time and now it's only 2 hours and sometimes only an hour and 45 minutes (As I am writing this you woke up at 45 minutes then fell asleep then woke up after 1.5 hours. Um, an hour and thirty minutes is NOT a good nap over here! Although you did sleep 12 hours last night and the night before.) You only take one nap a day so if it isn't a good one the rest of the day is just down hill. Then, your typical 12 hours a night is now rare and has gone down to about 11. 11.5 if we're lucky. Honestly, I try to stay consistent with you but I'm not sure if it's helping. If I don't give you motrin before your naps then you wake up HYSTERICAL (blisters on your gums)! If I do, you still wake up at the same time but are just happy. In the morning you are usually happy (used to be ALWAYS happy in the mornings and up from naps) but just seem to want to wake up around 6:30-45ish (bed is 7:30) every morning. I'm so over it! And, only an hour and 45 minute nap leaves you AWAKE for a good portion of the day. I just don't get it. Last month you had a really rough time falling asleep but then would sleep 12-13 hours. This month you fall asleep in seconds but aren't sleeping as long. If is isn't one thing it's another...ha!
Sizes:
Anything from 12-24 months depending on the brand. Sometimes your shirts are too short because your tummy is SO round! Your size 4 shoes are starting to look a bit small so I still have you in 4's but you can wear 5's too. I think size 3 diapers still fit you perfectly but your dad likes you in 4's. If you are wearing cloth diapers they are on the largest snap setting.
Stats:
You are 31 inches (95th %) and at least 25 pounds (95th %). I'll know your exact weight when we head to the doctor tomorrow. Large babies run on your momma's side of the family.
Likes:
Talking, pointing, splashing, chasing Perry, climbing, baby dolls, stuffed animals, blankets, smiling and waving to strangers, and running with your hands behind your back.
Words:
You repeat (in your own way) a lot of words that we say. Mama, dada or da-deee, Ree (for Perry), da (dog), ba (bunny or bottle), moo. You've said "no" once, you say "uh-uh" (for uh-oh) a lot. For a while when we say "bite" you open your mouth for food so that isn't new. You know the sign for "more" and "all done" we are working on "please" and you have signed it once and we're trying to start signing "thank you" as well.
Dislikes:
Getting dressed, diaper changes, getting your nose cleaned, having your face wiped off, wanting something RIGHT NOT and not getting it.
Notable things:
You can now reach and rattle door knobs. You figured out how to get your finger in your nose. You can pick up food, put the food on a fork, and then eat the food off of the fork. Kind of defeats the purpose of a fork but you're getting there. Your dad got an ALIVE june bug out of your mouth and I pulled a dried, dead earth worm out of your mouth. YUCK! You repeat a lot of motions we do. Example: you take my socks off and try to put them on your feet, you will hold wooden spoons when your dad is cooking and move your hands/arms the same way he is (stirring, chopping, etc.)
Georgia, I love you so much. We've had a lot of ups and downs this year and you have turned my whole entire world up side down. You are the brightest, funniest, most head strong one year old I know but I wouldn't change even one tiny thing about you. I love you from the top of your little blonde head to the bottom of your chubby fat feet! What a blessing these 366 (leap year!) days have been!
ONE day, ONE week, ONE month, and ONE year!

Happy Birthday to G! My doctor told me to give Henry no more than 16 oz of cow's milk a day. Just thought I'd pass that along since G still drinks 25 oz of her milk/formula combo. Maybe something to ask about at your appointment?
