(All of these pictures, I took them off of facebook, which are already bad because I had to upload them in lower quality because we're having laptop issues and I'm too lazy to get out of bed and go to the desktop...so they look like they're poor quality but they really aren't.)
Here is how our little family of three celebrated our baby's first birthday.
Here is how our little family of three celebrated our baby's first birthday.
I know she won't remember this day and I know she had no idea that it was actually her birthday and she doesn't even know what "birthday" means. BUT, I wanted her to somehow know that this day was special, different, and all about her.
We started off the moment she walked out of her bedroom door. We filled her small hallway with balloons and she loved it!
Then, we took her into the living room to see her gifts. The kitchen was from the both of us (post on that later), the huge lion was from Jonathan (She picked it out and drug it around the store. I DID NOT want that ugly thing in my house but dad can't say no), and the color puzzle was from me, of course. (The gift bag was from J's mom and I had already opened it, clothes, but I figured she would enjoy the paper.)
Of course, she goes straight for Jackson (the lion's name...he had a name tag when we got him) and it took her awhile to dive into the kitchen. Now, a few days later she is all about the kitchen and less about Jackson.
We got her dressed and were out the door in less than an hour from the time she woke up.
We braved the traffic to head to our favorite breakfast place, Le Peep, before our final destination: THE ZOO!
We wanted to get to the zoo early because of the heat and the crowds but we didn't beat either. The zoo had several schools there on field trips and we live in Texas so who am I kidding, you can't beat the heat. I came prepared though and we still had a great time!
(For some reason blogger uploaded these in a crazy order. Ugh...not fixing it!)
Her outfit says, "I Am 1"

After the zoo she slept on the way home, played with her new toys some, and then we went to Chick-fil-A for dinner. She loves the play place there so I knew if she could pick that is where she would want to eat.
We all had such a great day!
And, party detail will be coming soon. I just need some time to organize it all! And, work on the desk top...this laptop is on it's last leg!
