A Catch All

Link up HERE with Miscellany Monday!

Other than posting about Aunt Bee's Custom Canvas (my new canvas painting business) it's been radio silence on here for a full week.

Here is what has been going on.  On Sunday, when we picked Georgia up from the nursery she was being rocked because she seemed to have a fever.  We experienced the most horrible doctor's appointment (not due to the Dr.) and it turns out she had the stomach flu.  The day before, we had been hanging out with my mom and step-dad and my brother and his wife and kids.  We didn't know that the week prior my SIL had the stomach flu.  Long story short, this entire week, the only person listed above to not be stricken with the worst stomach flu I have ever had in my life (last time I felt that kind of pain was labor and I'm not even kidding) was my step-dad.  Lucky him.

Anyway, so we spent a lot of time being sick and endured a few very LOOOONG nights.

Before the dr.  We matched...kind of.  Both outfits would later be soaked with throw up while in the exam room.  Fun.  The joys of being a mom.  I have now vowed to never go to the dr. alone.

My mom was great though and brought us groceries and flowers and then the next day got sick herself and then the day after she got sick brought us more groceries because Georgia was sick first, two days later I was sick, two days after that Jonathan was sick.

Eventually, we all started to feel better!  I spent a lot of time cleaning and doing laundry.  Blah!

{muffin on her face / hoarding sippy cups}

 {Watching the rain / Eating frozen GoGurt}

{She put my clean undies on her head and ran away}

When I started to feel better I just had to get out of the house.  I went to Goodwill and have never bought Georgia anything there but I decided to browse the clothes because, why not?  I actually found a TON of great stuff!

She loves the vest (from the Gap) and has never had lounge pants before but these were really soft and have a cute little ruffle on them!

The floral top is from Janie and Jack, the bishop smocked dress didn't have a label, the pink rain coat and the orange skinny jeans are both from the Gap as well as the puffer vest.  The white petticoat skirt, rainbow lounge pants, and teal shirt are from Target but too good of a deal to pass up.  Each piece that I bought was 1.99!

 The 5 minute fairy tale book is over an inch thick and was only 99 cents.  I figure that will be a good bedtime story book when she gets older.  The other two are favorites of mine.

I bought the cloth napkins because we are trying to eliminate all paper towel use at our house.  We already use dish towels for cleaning instead of paper towels so I bought some napkins we can reuse as well...they were less than 30 cents a piece!  We have a few other sets too that I already owned so we're off to a good start.

I also bought her 2 brand new pairs of PJs from Goodwill that were originally from the Disney store.  I plan on using them for stocking stuffers!  (My retro camera was accidentally on black and white...oops!)

Speaking of stocking stuffers Jonathan said we always have to have 12 items in each stocking because of the 12 days of Christmas.  So, I only need 10 more for G.  Has anyone else heard of that???

On Sunday we stayed home from church because I didn't want to get anyone else sick but we were all feeling nearly 100%

AND, big let down.  My hubs says I can't share our BIG news until Tuesday.  I know on Instagram I said it would be on Monday but we have to wait.

Clue #1
No, it is not house related.  While I do wish our house would sell this news is far more life changing than that and if I had to pick between the two I would pick what I'm about to share!

Clue #2
No, I'm not pregnant!  I in no way, shape, or form want another child right now!  I want Georgia potty trained and in a big girl bed before that happens!

Happy Monday

Yay for your Goodwill finds! I love finding good deals! I can't believe we have to wait til tomorrow for the news. But I'm going to take a guess and say it's related to Jonathan's job. I remember at one time you said he might eventually become a principal so that's my guess!:) hope you and G have a great week!
