Georgia's First Sail

October 4, 2013

Last weekend Georgia went on her first sail with my dad and step mom.  My dad is a boat captain so he does this for a living.  Georgia is officially the boats youngest passenger.  Pretty sure I'm the second youngest passenger.  He bought the boat when I was 4.

Anyhow, Georgia LOVED it!  Actually, that's an understatement.  It was windy, choppy, and raining a bit but she had the time of her life.  She was constantly trying to touch the water, dip her toes, walk all over the place, at one point she said she was, "flying".

And, my dad letting her take the helm.  Yeah, made her day.  And probably his too ;)  Now, we hear about it ALLLLL the time.  "Last year!  We ride on a boat!" (Still working on last year verses yesterday!)

This isn't a good picture by any means but they are making the same face!  hahaha!  They weren't in bad moods I swear but they were both talking.

She was SOOOO sleepy.  This is several hours after her nap time.  Combine that with the sound of the ocean and the rocking of the boat.  She almost passed out a few times but she never quite fell asleep.  I was singing to her here.  Poor girl didn't want to miss anything.

Then, she perked up and wanted to go all over the place!  This is me trying to contain her so she wouldn't go swimming!

We had such a good time!

I've never been sailing and it's definitely on my bucket list. I could totally go for a nice nap on a boat right about now!
