Boston

November 21, 2013

Back in mid October Jonathan and I, along with his now married college friends Erik and Rachel, traveled to Boston for the week.  We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the lovely fall weather.  Such a nice change for us Houstonians.  (Conronians...Conroites?)

And, these pictures are not in order.  They are in order of the day but not what we did that day.  If that makes sense.  It's a WHOLE lot of pictures and info.  Get a snack and stay awhile :)

Saturday

unpack and settle in
Head to Boston Common, see Massachusetts State House, and Boston Public Gardens
Head home and get ready for dinner at Cafeteria
Go to Cheers bar in Beacon Hill

Sunday

Take the T to rent bikes from Urban AdvenTours (I got THREE flat tires!)
Ride to Museum of Fine Arts
Lunch at Regina's
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (Beautiful!!!)
Fenway Park
Explore Back Bay: Copley Square/Boston Public Library/Trinity Church/Old South Church
Dinner at some place that wasn't anything special

Monday

Take the T to Freedom Trail Stops
USS Constitution Cruise from Long Wharf
Finish Freedom Trail Stops
Faneuil Hall Marketplace for lunch
Sam Adams Brewery Tour
Head to North End for Dinner  at Prezza (I think.  The story of how we got to this place is the funniest but long.  I'll re tell it at some point.)
Dessert at Mike's Pastry

Tuesday

Boston Whale Watch Tour (Clearly, I was REALLY cold!)
Harvard University
(It's true people.  Baylor is just as pretty, if not more so, than Harvard.)
Dinner at Mr. Bartley's

Met John Travolta.  He was filming on our street.

(T was SO packed we could not move and were forced to touch people we did not know.  Very disturbing.)

Wednesday

Pack and head out
Brunch and hang out in Beacon Hill
Head to airport

It was a PACKED and FUN FILLED trip but I loved it.  Jonathan and I are busy travelers so this was just our speed.
