15 Weeks!

November 22, 2010

Disclaimer:  I don't think I look this huge in person, my skirt's waist band makes my stomach look pointy, and I have no make-up on...

{P.S. I changed my Christmas layout...again and my header.  I like this look much better :)  I also changed my default song to the theme song for Christmas Vacation...me and Jonathan's favorite Christmas movie!)

How far along?  15 Weeks

Baby size:  About the size of an apple  (4 inches long head to booty!)

Total weight gain/loss:  Probably the same as last week...not much.  My mom only gained about 18 lbs total with me and I was 8 lbs (and 22 inches!) and she never showed early.  At 13 weeks I was negative 5 lbs.  Jonathan was around 6 lbs when he was born but his mother is much shorter than me.  I guess it kind of depends on if the little one takes after me (on the bigger side) or after Jonathan (on the smaller side).  I just used this website and it said I was under weight by 11 lbs...what do they know!

Maternity clothes?  Still just the leggings.  I use rubber bands to keep my pants on though...and so I can breathe.

Sleep:  Good...I sleep A LOT!  And, when I wake up I have plenty of energy...or at least I do the first half of the day :)

Best moment this week:  Not having my night time sickness all weekend!  Did I get to a turning point???  We shall see...

Movement:  I've felt 3 little bumps on the same side.  It's the same side the dr. found the heart beat on at my last appointment and nearly in the same place.  Nothing that Jonathan can feel though.

Food cravings:  Sweet Tarts mainly

Gender:  We find out TOMORROW!  Ah!  I hope they cooperate!

What I miss:  Nothing really...

What I am looking forward to:  The gender reveal!

Weekly Wisdom:  Take time to relax more!

Milestones:  The baby can now see light although the eyes are shut!

Pregnancy Symptoms:  I still have a ton of food aversions

Looking good Emily! I find my bump looks different based on what pants/skirt I'm wearing too. I did the elastic on my jeans and while it works you should just TRY maternity pants. They are amazing.

I agree with Rachel, you have to try maternity pants- so comfortable and less pressure on your baby bump! I can't believe you are going to find out the gender at 15 weeks, that's incredible!

Aw, you're looking adorable! Words of advice: Tell the Doc you don't want to know the gender unless they are completely CERTAIN one way or the other. My next door neighbor found out around 14 weeks that they were having a boy. They were over the moon and bought all of the bedding and painted the nursery... only to find out at their big 20 week appt. that they're actually having a little girl. At our 16 week, they couldn't be sure and I was glad we waited until they could see our little guy more clearly at the 20 week. So I wish you luck tomorrow and hope your little one is ready to give you a very clear show. :)

Today is the day!! I was going to guess girl because that's just what I picture you having, but you have had a lot of the same symptoms as me (nighttime nausea, sweet tart cravings) so it could be boy too! I hope he or he cooperates and gives y'all the money shot haha!
