26 Weeks

February 7, 2011

(This was the best picture I could get of "my view".  I had to use my point and shoot because the lens on my DSLR is too big.)

How far along?  26 weeks (only 14 more weekends Jonathan and I can spend being a family of 2...which is 98 days!)

Baby size:  Nearly 2 lbs and around 14 inches long (English hothouse cucumber...really?)

Total weight gain/loss:  +6

Maternity clothes?  A mix of both

Sleep:  Still sleeping well but night time is Georgia's most active time so she keeps me awake a while longer than I would like sometimes.  But overall I still sleep really well...better if I didn't have a cold/allergy problems right now.

Best moment this week:  Georgia doing full on body rolls/stretches everytime the head of my school would talk at our faculty meeting.  I was trying so hard not to laugh but it was so funny.

Movement:  A lot!  Still all over the place.  Really high and really low.  They get stronger everyday.  The rolls and stretches are the most entertaining to me though...

Food cravings:  Still ice water.  LOVE ice water!

{pause:  I walk to the kitchen and get a glass of ice water}

What I miss:  Putting on boots and socks with ease, not being out of breathe easily, going on walks (it's too cold right now)

What I am looking forward to:  So many things.  The summer because Georgia will be here and it will be warm!  I SO look forward to spending ALL DAY with little Georgia while Jonathan is at work and taking her on walks with me in her adorable pram.  I'm glad she'll be a summer baby because I plan on taking her everywhere with me.  I'm excited about maternity pictures and newborn pictures as well as my baby shower and of course G's birthday!  Also, we meet our "maybe" pediatrician tomorrow.  Hopefully all goes well!

Milestones:  inhaling and exhaling starts around 26 weeks...also if Georgia were born today her chances of survival are all the way up to 80%.  Last week it was only 50%.

Pregnancy Symptoms:  sore abs sometimes, round ligament pains occasionally...nothing big really.  All is still good here!

Stretch Marks:  Not one!

Belly button:  Still a full on innie!

Love your outfit in your pic! Sounds like things are going great! How awesome is it that the survival rate goes up by 30% in just one week? So great!

Liam was kicking me all through bible study last week and Will and I could NOT stop giggling!

And where do they come up with some of these food references??!!

You're looking fabulous! Isn't it funny how active they are at night? I hope it's not an indication of how they're going to sleep once they're born! :)
