Spring Break Part I

March 11, 2013

{Linking up my randoms HERE}

It's Spring Break at the Powell house!  Woo hoo.  I have Jonathan home ALL WEEK!  This is a LONG post!

1.
On Friday I took some pictures of my student art work.  Been doing some basic things and I'm hoarding art supplies.  I work at a private school and it's the end of the year...supplies are getting low.

4th grade sunset collages - paper/oil pastel/crayon/liquid watercolor

3rd grade winter sunsets - watercolor paper/oil pastel/construction paper/tempera

3rd grade paper sculpture - construction paper

1st grade dinosaur - crayon/oil pastel/tempera

kinder flower collage - marker/oil pastel/crayon/tissue paper

1st grade ponchos - manila paper/construction paper/crayon

When Jonathan got home on friday we went for yogurt.  The place we went had a giant chalkboard that Georgia really enjoyed!  After these pictures she knocked her entire bowl on the floor upside down.  Nice.

3.
Saturday we cuddled in bed, ran errands and worked on getting the house sell ready {again!}.  After Georgia's nap we played at home some (video below) and then headed to a baseball game Jonathan had to work.  Georgia had the time of her life.  She didn't watch the game so much BUT loved watching the bees crawl around.  The girl is obsessed with nature. (Also, loved playing with all the baseball equipment.  I guess when your dad is the assistant principal no one is going to tell you no. AND, we had homemade pumpkin spice cake balls that the concession stand was selling.  YUM!)  She SO needed a bath that night and was ready for bed!

Sunday we headed off to church. Came home.  Napped.  Cuddled after nap.  Played outside.  And, worked on the chalkboard.

5.
For dinner we went to a friend's house for a breakfast taco buffet, homemade donuts, and mimosa's.  I hogged the baby all night, and watch Georgia and Holden (he's 6 months older than G) play ALL night by themselves.  They talked and ran around all night.  At one point it was VERY quiet and we found them in the nursery closet, lights off, and Holden grabs the door knob and before closing the door says, "Hide and seek mom!"  I wish I had a picture of the look on Georgia's face.  Pure joy and excitement!  She was thrilled to be playing.  Ugh...I can't wait to move closer to friends!  I did get a short video of them playing in the sand box.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Georgia sounds so old when she talks! Liam still has that high-pitched baby voice, she sounds so mature!

We went to a friend's house for dinner last night too and the boys played by themselves FOREVER. It's nice not having to watch them every second! :)

Loved all of the pictures! I laughed at the "What's your name?" "Panties!" line....sounds like convos around here lately.
