Here's what we've been loving this week!
I ordered Georgia's camp trunk off of Amazon. (Link below) I really like it. It seems very sturdy, easy to clean, and we both like the color. BUT, I knew when I got it that making things stick to it would be hard. Good for dirt, bad for stickers. In a last ditch effort I bought spray on Gorilla glue and y'all...it worked so great. It was so worth it getting that cursive name on there, in the middle, with spray glue, by myself. I'm so pleased with how it turned out. YAY! (I only had to use spray glue on her name and the Vans sticker. Everything else stuck fine)
Georgia has always been a chronic nail biter. Since she was SIX MONTHS old. As long as she's had teeth, she's been biting her nails. It had gotten to the point that her cuticles were damaged and inflamed. She does it when she's nervous but also just as a tick when she isn't doing anything else. Enough was finally enough and I bought her Mavala Stop (THIS ONE) and y'all...it worked! She picks her nails with her fingers but she doesn't bite them anymore. I still use it about every other day and she said it tastes disgusting. I'm so glad we bought this. She goes to gymnastics and it kills me how many germs she puts in her mouth. I'll buy it again and again. I honestly don't know why I didn't do this sooner. Her hands look so much better.
My kid's tried SmartSweets Sweet Chews and really liked them. I want to try the Sour Blast Buddies next...and the Gummy Bears.
I had both big kids up and at the dentist by 8am...BUT no cavities and no crowding. All good!
I got an opportunity to try some styles from NYJD. I was a little worried about wearing this skirt with the kids the other night but it was super stretchy and I didn't have trouble keeping up with the kids at all and was totally comfortable. Yay. The shirt was light weight which is great for our heat and humidity here in Texas.
It is hot as heck right now but our front yard gets a lot of shade because we have large mature trees and this week we've had some nice breezes. I take the kids outside and we sit in the yard. I made a "Happy Life" playlist when this Covid disaster started (listen HERE) and we listen to it all the time. I love our little playlist and I hope it reminds me of a less busy time in our lives. At Christmas Milam picked out a pink bluetooth speaker for me. I hadn't used it much until quarantine and now we use it all the time! I have THIS one and it comes in handy. My kids love listening to music. Both are favorites.
Another favorite (kind of) is that Barrett started standing independently this week and using his push walker. He's obsessed. He used it for probably a solid hour yesterday which is insane. His little legs are so darn cute. I only have videos.
Y'all. My sweet little Milam wants to go on vacation so bad. We don't travel a ton but we take 3 or 4 trips a year but obviously that has all stoped now. Jonathan has a new position at work and doesn't want to take off any days, I only have one free weekend that I'm not shooting, and with Covid I would hate to get somewhere and the whole world shut down so we're just home. Milam has packed his suitcase and keeps planning where we're going. I just want to give him the whole world but this world is just insane right now and that's impossible to explain to him. That little face is just my favorite.
